Registration notes:	Founded in 1966, Genesee Community College (GCC) is located in upstate New York. GCC’s signature programme, Fashion Business, celebrates its 35th Fashion Show in 2016. Students were challenged to create a unique tartan that would exemplify the College’s brand “Beyond Expectations”. The winning entry is the work of a GCC alumnus who researched tartan design and selected a colour scheme that dates back to the College’s first Dean of Students, Dr Stuart Steiner. The tartan plays an exciting role in celebrating GCC’s 50th Anniversary and recognizing GCC as one of the few community colleges to design and register its own tartan.
