Throughout its history the Corps has played a key role in international events; WWI, WWII, throughout the Cold War, Bosnia, Kosovo. Other operations have included the formation of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan in 2006 and as ISAF Joint Command in 2011. The Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Tartan features historical colours associated with the Corps; Blue, Green and Light Grey. Black is for continual respect for all fallen Allied Rapid Reaction Corps comrades. The ARRC’s motto is ‘Audentis fortuna iuvat’ meaning ‘Fortune favours the Brave’.
