Registration notes:	Scottish Tartans Scoiety Lyon Court record (LCB 1A 29/06/1951) multiplied by four. A minor variation on the Cockburn specimen (1810-15) which also appears in a painting of Alexander 13th Earl of Caithness who lived between 1790 and 1858. Simlar to MacTavish at #3120 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference). Puzzle Nomindex Slog for Lyon count is RBW : RGK. The Slog of this sett is GKW : RBK. The Nomindex Slog matches the sett of #1463 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) which also matches the Smiths' woven sample of 1850.

2) Not all pre-existing tartans included in the Register were recognised by the STA.

3) The registration criteria applied by the Register is different from the criteria applied previously by the STA and the STWR. Please refer to the STA and STWR websites for details.
