Registration notes:	Same as #563 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) but yellow replaces blue. Designed by Hugh Macpherson the Edinburgh Kiltmaker who designed a number of dress tartans for use by dancers. The conventional method of producing a 'dress' version of a tartan is to replace one of the ground colours with white or light grey. Hugh however seems to favour variations on the same design since he has used setts very similar for two Culloden Dress tartans (#742 & #1792 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference)). Now a Dalgliesh weave.

1) For tartans existing prior to the introduction of the Register, the numbering system allocated by the Scottish Tartans Authority (STA) has been used. Where relevant, the Scottish Tartans World Register (STWR) reference numbers are listed for information purposes.

2) Not all pre-existing tartans included in the Register were recognised by the STA.

3) The registration criteria applied by the Register is different from the criteria applied previously by the STA and the STWR. Please refer to the STA and STWR websites for details.
