Registration notes: This tartan is intended for the use of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and its members. The design represents the trademark logo of the CDA which is composed of the ancient symbol of healing, "The Staff of Asclepius" shown as a central red "staff" surrounded by a coiled serpent (grey). This, in turn, is surrounded by an interlocking circle and triangle (white), with a background of the colours of a maple leaf in autumn. The "maple leaf" "houndstooth" pattern consists of 13 lines depicting the 10 provinces and 3 territories which make up the country of Canada.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
