Registration notes: This tartan commemorates the year 1658 when the country of Scania (Skåne), part of Denmark for 700 years, became part of Sweden. Scania included the following ten cities: Falsterbo, Helsingborg, Landskrona, Kristianstad, Lund, Malmo, Simrishamn Skanörvägen, Ystad and Ängelholm. This tartan is for Scania people’s Danish ancestors and their children. It can be worn by anyone who lives in Scania or has relatives from the country. The tartan uses the red and yellow from the flag of Scania.
