Registration notes:	A tartan for Liverpool Plains, an extensive agricultural area covering about 1.2 million hectares of the north-western slopes of New South Wales in Australia. Designed to reflect the districts, natural beauty and the diversity of primary production in the area on the unique self mulching black soil plains. Colours: rust is for the sorghum that is ready to harvest; black is for the fertile alluvial soils cloddy and cracked; yellow is for the sunflowers and canola, so cheerful and bright; blue is for the artesian basin that irrigates the plains and for rivers that run between the hills engulfed in a eucalypt haze; white is for the soft buds of cotton that are yet to be baled; green is for the pastures that leap out of the ground after bountiful rains. All of these elements are woven together on the Liverpool Plains.

Woven Sample:	A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
