Registration notes:	The tartan incorporates colours drawn from elements used within the original Paisley University and College’s arms which were combined together to create the University of the West of Scotland during 2007. The Lord Lyon of Scotland, the heraldic authority for Scotland, devised the new Coat of Arms for the University of the West of Scotland drawing references from the former institutions together with new elements representing the University’s presence in Dumfries, the wider UK and global outlook. The Lord Lyon King of Arms, presented the University of the West of Scotland with the new Coat of Arms on the 10th May 2017.

Woven Sample:	A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
