Registration notes: British heritage brand Aquascutum wanted to create their own interpretation of one of the most classic and recognisable British fabrics in the world. This collection was heavily inspired by British craftsmanship and in particular the Scottish highlands as they developed into Fair Isle knits and tweed textures. By personalising a traditional British design in an official capacity the designers wanted to both celebrate the rich culture of tartan and modernise it for a new audience. The colours chosen for this tartan came from their house club check which is synonymous with the brand. By using their house colours they will be able to use this tartan for Autumn Winter 2018 and future collections.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
