Registration notes: This tartan has been designed by the Strathmore Woollen Co. Ltd., to be worn by the official pipe band of the 77th Army Band, who are located at Fort Sill in Oklahoma in America. The tartan will be worn by the official pipe band of Fires, "Costello's Own", who were named in honour of the late Lt. General John Costello. The colours chosen are of significance to the 77th Army Band: red for the red earth of Oklahoma and for the branch colour of both Field Artillery and Air Defence Artillery; yellow to represent the colour of the plains; black for the fire and cold steel produced at Fort Sill; white and blue from their national flag.
