Registration notes: This tartan was designed for Halifax Regional Police (HRP), the largest municipal police agency in Atlantic Canada (and Nova Scotia). Nova Scotia has a long and proud connection to Scotland and its traditions. HRP holds close many ceremonial aspects of those traditions. As an amalgamated police service in 1995 from former municipal police agencies, HRP's new tartan will be purposed to visibly celebrate the men and women of HRP. Inspector Don Moser lead the development of the HRP tartan and collaborated with Diane Quimby (designer) from the Royal Cape Breton Gaelic College. The HRP tartan concept is inspired by the organisational colours.
Registrant details: Inspector Don Moser, 1975 Gottingen Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B4B 1S6
