Registration notes: The Change Mental Health tartan was commissioned to celebrate the charity’s rich history and to raise mental health awareness. The charity was originally part of the National Schizophrenia Fellowship, set up in 1972, and then became an independent Scottish charity in 1984. The organisation adopted its current name, Change Mental Health, in 2022 following a rebrand from Support in Mind Scotland. The focal point of this design is the sequential inclusion of the charity’s heritage of a traditional blue and green that was prominent in its previous branding. Change Mental Health’s new branding pays homage to the past identity, carrying over the blue and green. The contrasting red on blue in the tartan was factored into the new branding, which is a major element from the Campbell of Cawdor clan tartan in recognition of the late Lady Campbell of Croy’s great support for this organisation.
