Registration notes: This tartan was designed in memory of Franca Knowles, for her widower Mr Keith Knowles OBE, CBII and CEO of the company ‘Beds and Bars’. Franca was the linchpin of the Knowles family and their family business and had a real zest for life, coining the phrase “Live Your Life”, which became a creed for the Beds and Bars company she helped grow. In her memory, Keith declared Franca’s birthday “Live Your Life Day”, a day when employees could take the day off to celebrate ‘life’ with their families or to support a charity. The Live Your Life Day charity raises the awareness of blood cancer. The colours yellow, blue for aqua and orange reflect colours taken from the Live Your Life Day charity logo. The colour white in this tartan signifies the light of Franca’s life that still shines on.
