Registration notes: Colours: green represents Ireland, to celebrate Allentown’s Irish heritage, and Central Catholic High School in Allentown; blue represents Dieruff High School in Allentown; red pays tribute to Hamilton Street, considered the heart of the city and the route the parade took for many decades; yellow represents loyalty and William Allen High School in Allentown; white represents purity and black represents grief and remembrance of loved ones. Red, white and blue were also chosen to represent the American flag.
