Registration notes: Partially based on the Bruce tartan from the 1842 Vestiarium Scoticum — the Bruce family were long associated with the Airth estate, the family home of paediatric surgeon Mihalis (Michael) Jacovides. The green, orange and white of the Cyprus flag pays homage to Mihalis's homeland and the blue and white signify the Saltire for the Jacovides Family's new home in Scotland. The three blue lines on orange are for the three boys in the family - Alex, Lucas and Ethan, blue is also the boys’ favourite colour. Mihalis’ wife Cat’s favourite of purple, takes centre place on the red and her profession is represented by the green and white of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
