Registration notes: This tartan was designed to celebrate the links between Bordeaux and Scotland. The Bordeaux Pipe Band performs to promote the Celtic culture and Scottish music that unites Bordeaux with Scotland. It will be worn by band members at international meetings, performances and commemorations. The band previously played for the French Rugby Federation at the Stade de France in Paris for the Six Nations on February 23, 2019. Colours: the blues represent the coast and sea skirting our territory: red represents grapes and vines and yellow represents the gold from the coat of arms of Bordeaux.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
