Tartan Details - Zdunich, Andrew & Family (Personal)

The information held within The Scottish Register of Tartans for the "Zdunich, Andrew & Family (Personal)" tartan is shown below.

Reference: 12578
Designer: Kinloch Anderson Ltd
Tartan date: 28/06/2019
Registration date: 9 August 2019
Category: Name
Restrictions: Yes. This design has been exclusively designed for Andrew Zdunich by Kinloch Anderson Ltd, restricted availability. Please contact Kinloch Anderson regarding use.

Registration notes: Commissioned on the occasion of Mr Zdunich's marriage, the design is based on the setts of his wife’s family tartan, Dixon of Clan Keith, and their common alma mater, the University of Edinburgh. The colours were chosen to represent his Canadian, Croatian and German heritage. Colonel Zdunich’s military service in the Canadian Army is symbolised by the yellow stripe in the traditional colour of cavalry, the green representing the Queen’s York Rangers regiment which he commanded, and the blue of that unit’s authorised (Government #1) tartan. His only child, Trinity, is the inspiration for three lines transecting the design in the colour symbolising castle walls found in the town his family originated, in the city of his birth, and in his first Scottish home of Edinburgh.
