Registration notes: The McIntyre Collegium was founded by Ralph Thrall II approximately 50 years ago. It began as a group of learned people gathering together to discuss issues of political, environmental, business and indigenous interest. The name McIntyre comes from the Thrall family ranch, “The McIntyre Ranch”, where the Collegium continues to meet twice per year. Colours: black is Ralph Thrall III’s classic dress colour; green, gold and yellow represent the diverse plants of the original native grassland found on the ranch; blue represents the clear sky of Alberta and water of natural springs; white represents the nearby snow-capped Rocky Mountains. This tartan will serve to recognize the contribution of the founding members to this Collegium as well as to create a tie to the next generation of Fellows and their many guests.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
