Registration notes: To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the founding of QEST, a special tartan has been created. This will also mark the 180th Anniversary of the Royal Warrant Holders Association. The sett reflects the existing RWHA tartan which was designed 25 years ago and is based on the Stewart tartan, which is widely used by the Royal Family. In 2019, HRH The Prince of Wales became the Patron of QEST and this is recognised by including the colours of the The Duke of Rothesay Hunting Tartan – worn by HRH, as the Duke of Rothesay. In addition, the three gold lines in the design represent the three Grantors of Royal warrants, HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales. The purpose of the QEST Tartan is to generate income for the Trust and for promotional purposes.
