Registration notes: This tartan was inspired by the many links between Lincolnshire and Scotland and the members of staff of Lincolnshire Police who are either themselves Scottish or have family and cultural connections to Scotland. The Chief Constable, Bill Skelly, who authorised the tartan, was born in Scotland and has connections to Clan Forbes. Colours: green and yellow represent Lincolnshire and blue, white and black represent the Police Service. The sett is based on the Forbes Ancient tartan with the addition of yellow to represent the Lincolnshire Police.
