Registration notes: A tartan for the Robert Burns World Federation (RBWF). The colours are intended to represent items or events of significance to the RBWF: red represents the blood of humankind, to which Burns great song ‘A Man’s A Man’ is dedicated and which was sung to open the Scottish parliament; light blue represents the pale blue skies under which Burns as a farmer toiled, and the lochs and rivers of the Scotland; yellow represents gold for the chain of office and the harvest; green represents the nature which inspired Robert Burns in his poetry and life; black represents the ink he used to write with and white represents the pages he wrote upon.
