Restrictions: Yes. Intended to be worn by Edmonton Scottish Society members, their families and any others who have received written permission from the Board of the Edmonton Scottish Society.
The tartan may only be woven with written permission from the Board of the Edmonton Scottish Society.
The tartan can not be sold or used for manufacturing of goods without written permission from the Edmonton Scottish Society.
Registration notes: A tartan for The Edmonton Scottish Society of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a Scottish Canadians club supporting Scottish cultural and heritage since 1949. The tartan design intends to honour Scotland and Alberta. Colours: the colours of the Lion Rampant and St. Andrew’s cross are featured in the tartan over check; grey is intended to represent Burns’ “cup of friendship”; purple represents heather, thistle flowers and the Alberta Wild Rose. The under check colours represent the summer and winter night sky of Scotland & Canada’s shared northern latitudes.
