Registration notes: A tartan for Sun-TV, a television station based in Japan. This tartan was made to commemorate moving to a new office building. The colours are intended to represent the colours associated with Sun-TV: yellow is the colour of the channel’s mascot character ‘Oh! SUN’; brown is the colour of ‘Piccolo’, Oh! SUN’s pet dog; blue represents the sky and sea of Kobe where the new office building is located. The basic structure of the tartan uses three lines to represent Sun-TV's channel number being 3.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
