Joshua DePenning rose to become chief Compulater for the Survey of India working alongside Everest. The maternal line can be traced back to the MacDougalls of North Uist from which they left to go to New Zealand. The family are extremely proud of their ancestry and wished to celebrate their heritage with a tartan.
