Restrictions:	Yes. Intended to be worn by Charles Moody Dorsey, Meg Elizabeth Smith, their family and relatives and successors as well as those authorised in writing by the above. The tartan may only be woven by those authorised in writing by the designer/registrant.
Registration notes:	This tartan was commissioned as a gift for Charles Moody Dorsey and Meg Elizabeth Smith on the occasion of their wedding from Charles & Heidi Dorsey. It was designed as an expression of their Scottish ancestral connection with MacNeil of Barra while including elements of their individual upbringings and their lives together in the mountains of Virginia. Colours: green and blue represent the couple’s Scottish ancestry, the geography of the couple’s upbringing and their interest in the Blue Ridge and Alleghany Mountains of Virginia; white signifies the marital connection, the White Pines of the area mountains and the White Pine Lodge; red represents the bride and the State Flower of Virginia, the Dogwood; black was included as a nod to losses endured and purple was included to represent the flowers of Scotland and Scotland itself.
