Weaving is restricted to those approved by Tartan Manor Ltd. This design was registered with the UK IPO on 7 July 2021, registration number: 6147395.
Registration notes:	The Felix EOD Mascot Tartan celebrates the ‘lucky cat’ Felix EOD Mascot and the work carried out by Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel. Cats have always been associated with luck, possibly due to their innate ‘righting reflex’ of always landing on their feet. Felix (Latin for ‘happy’ or ‘lucky’) was the name given to the EOD Felix cat mascot in the 1970’s by accident when a young signaller asked the Officer Commanding (OC) of his bomb disposal unit, which radio call-sign he wished to use. The OC, having lost two operators that morning, decided on ‘Phoenix’, to reflect the squadron rising up from the ashes. This was misheard by the signaller as ‘Felix’ and was never changed – hence the phrase ‘Fetch Felix’ whenever a suspect device is found. This tartan features the colours of the Felix EOD Mascot; the green of his helmet and beige, white and red are from his face. Black has been included for continual respect for all fallen EOD comrades.
