Registration notes: A tartan for J Storey Cousin and his family. The colours were inspired by the kilts worn by Highland Regiments; black and blue were inspired by the Black Watch tartan as worn by the regiment of that name, red by the Cameron of Erracht tartan as worn by The Cameron Highlanders and yellow by the Gordon tartan as worn by The Gordon Highlanders, the historic regiment of Aberdeenshire, where the name Cousin is first recorded in Scotland.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
