Registration notes: This tartan is intended to represent a commonwealth of individual countries which together produced some major historic events all from a particular location, RAF Binbrook. The colours are intended to represent the unity of the Commonwealth: purple for Scotland; red for Wales; green for Ireland; white for England and yellow for Australia. Blue represents the history of the RAF and the RAAF, whose 460 Squadron was based at Binbrook during World War II. The tartan has been designed primarily for the Binbrook Lightnings Pipe Band and His Church Ltd.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
