This tartan was designed by Carol Martin in collaboration with George G McNeillie, Tyler P Boisvert and Barth H Gillan to mark the 175th anniversary of Zeta Psi Fraternity, one of the world’s oldest collegiate fraternities. Founded in 1847 at New York University, Zeta Psi Fraternity strives to be the premier international men’s fraternal organization and is dedicated to encouraging academic excellence while forging lifelong bonds of brotherhood. Zeta Psi is an international fraternity and has active undergraduate chapters at the finest universities and colleges in the United States, Canada, Great Bitain, Ireland, France, and Greece. The design displays the primary colours of the Fraternity: white, black, and gold. The colour purple is the colour of New York University where the Mother Chapter was founded. The colours red, green, and blue are intended to signify the various Grand Chapters and local Chapter officers. |
