Registration notes: The light blue, gold and white reflect the colours of Ajay Valecha’s coat of arms whilst the red celebrates his Hindu background. The orange bands of eight threads have double symbolism within his followed Buddhist religion — they represent not only the eight ‘spokes’ in the Dharmachakra ‘wheel’, (the sacred symbol representing Buddhism) but also the noble eightfold path of Buddhism. The family unit itself is featured in the black bands on navy blue with threadcounts marking Ajay’s arrival in the UK from Ghana (2014), his marriage (2016) and the birth of the couple’s daughter (2018).
