Registration notes: This tartan was designed for Franco A. Rizzuti and his family. The design is intended to represent the region of Italy the family is from and where they currently reside in Alberta, Canada. The colours of the tartan incorporates green, white and red from the flag of Italy, blue and black from the flag of Calabria, and yellow is intended to highlight the connection between the two areas for the family, with yellow featuring in the Calabrian flag and the straw found in the prairies of Alberta.
