The name originates from the Middle High German word for someone who clears an area from undergrowth with fire to make it arable. Colours: dark green is intended to represent the undergrowth; yellow, red and black colours are for the fire and ash; brown is for the earth left where seeds can be sown and light green to represent the new plants sprouting.
