Restrictions:	Yes. Intended to be worn only by members and former members of the Artists Rifles, and any honorary members as deemed by the Artists Rifles Association Council. May only be woven by those approved by the Artists Rifles Association and the designer. Copyright rests with the designer.
Registration notes:	The Artists Rifles Regiment dates back to 1859. During the Second World War, it was used as an officer training unit. The regiment was disbanded in 1945, but in 1947 it was re-established to resurrect the Special Air Service Regiment. Created by the Artists Rifles Association, this tartan is intended to reflect the colours of the Artists Rifles; grey is for the main colour associated with the Artists Rifles, along with some black and white. The Special Air Service colours of Oxford and Cambridge blue were also included in the design.
