Registration notes: This tartan was created for Appalachian Saint Andrew's Pipes and Drums Inc., a registered non-profit corporation in the State of Georgia, USA. The Band, created in 2004, celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2024. The Band is based in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia. The tartan colours were inspired by the Appalachian mountains; greens for the foliage of the trees and plants; grey for the geologic make-up of the mountains; orange for the clay soil; black for the coal, oil, and rich earth of the mountains; and blue, red and yellow for the wildflowers found throughout the mountains.
