Restrictions:	Yes. Use of this tartan is controlled by the Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh.
Registration notes:	The Mary Erskine School was founded in 1694 by Mary Erskine. Her name was consequently given to the school. The Erskine tartan (Green Erskine) was therefore chosen for the basis of this tartan. The colour green was changed to navy blue to conform to the school colours of red and navy. The sett size was reduced to make it suitable for garments also worn by the Primary School pupils. The tartan was designed to celebrate the Tercentenary of the Mary Erskine School in 1994 for which The Queen visited the school on 30th June 1994.
