Restrictions: Yes.
Registration notes: Smibert (1850) published this design of which he says that it, ''..was produced for his own use by Sir Walter Scott in 1822, and that he wore it in private, in the form of a Lowland shepherd's plaid." There is no supporting evidence for Smibert's claim and it is likely that he incorrect reproduced the Shepard Check from the portrait of Scott in the Rhymer’s Glen by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer c.1832-34.
