Registration notes: Sindex card:- 'Details from (the late) Dr.Wm E Johnston, Skippack. House Plaid - West Lothian Woollen Mills of Hudson Bay.' Orange sometimes given as Red. See also Hudson Bay Company at #1612 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) for a slightly different version of this but a hugely different derivation. It's possible that both are correct and that West Lothian Woollen Mills was retailing a Hudson Bay tartan.
