Registration notes: Distillation of an original design capturing the mood and ambiance of the Isle of Rona and its flora and geology. The beautiful and remote island of Rona lies between Scotland's spectacular west coast and the Isle of Skye and is a 1 hour boat trip away from Skye. The island is uninhabited apart from Rona Lodge overlooking Acarseid Mhor (Big Harbour) and offers self-catering cottages..

The registration criteria now applied by the Register conforms to the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008. These criteria are different to those previously applied by either the STA or the STWR.
