Restrictions: Yes. This tartan is designed for use by the descendants of Edmond Charles ‘Citizen’ Genet, members of the ever-growing American Genet family. Written permission from Eric Duane Genet (or his lawful assigns) is required for use.



Registration notes: This tartan commemorates Edmond Charles ‘Citizen’ Genet’s illustrious life as the father of the ‘American Genet’ family. Colours: the red, white and blue represent ‘Citizen’ Genet’s homeland of France as well as his final home, the United States, where he rests in peace; the green is the colour of a ‘genet’, a colony of plants that typically grow in the mountainous regions of Europe and adorns many Genet Coats of Arms; the black is in memoriam and the red cross represents the bloodline of the ‘American Genet’ to which Edmond Charles is father.
