Registration notes: Designed for the exhibition ‘For Auld Lang Syne: Images of Scottish Australia, from First Fleet to Federation’ in the Art Gallery, Ballarat, April - July 2014. Colours: grey for the basalt plain Ballarat is built on, blue and white for the Eureka flag (which represents Australian nationalism and democracy) and yellow for the gold discovered and mined in Ballarat in the mid nineteenth century. The tartan has been endorsed by the Mayor of Ballarat.
