Registration notes: The Pipers' Trail Tartan is a lasting legacy of The Pipers’ Trail, a project to showcase Army values and standards. It was created in 2008 as a travelling play and thereafter became the vehicle by which workshops in piping and drumming were delivered to school pupils. The project ended in 2013. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (REMT) has taken control of the concept and will continue to encourage young people to play pipes and drums.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
