Registration notes: The Turnberry Hotel opened in 1906 and the first gold course, designed by Willie Fernie, opened in 1901. The granite of the Ailsa Craig, an iconic symbol on the coastline, is represented in the grey through the tartan and the hint of blue reflects the sea views from the hotel.
