Registration notes: A personal tartan for Nicolas Wallenberg, Baron of Sauchie. Based on the 1797 Bruce Tartan this asymmetric design incorporates the French Tricolour and the yellow and blue of the Swedish flag representing the Baron’s lineage. The blue and white also represent the Scottish Saltire together with the traditional Scottish colours of green and heather. The personal significance of the numeral 6 is reflected in each Tricolour band being made up of six threads.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
