Registration notes: This tartan was designed by Harold Lowe, a retired Reserve Officer, who wanted to create an unofficial tartan to honour all Canadian Veterans. Dark blue represents the Royal Canadian Navy, dark green represents the Canadian Army and light blue represents the Royal Canadian Air Force. These colours are joined with the red and white as a symbol of Canada's flag. The black in the pattern recognises the Veterans who have passed.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
