Registration notes: The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Tartan celebrates all past, present and future officer cadets, personnel, and achievements attached to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), commonly known simply as ‘Sandhurst’, is the British Army Officer initial training centre, formed in 1947. And the traditions on which the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is founded go back over two centuries. During training, all officer cadets learn to live by the academy’s motto: ‘Serve to Lead’ as featured on the Sandhurst Flag. The colours featured in this tartan are colours from the Sandhurst Flag; Red, Yellow and Light Blue. And Black is for continual respect for all fallen who have passed through Sandhurst. The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is the home of the British Army Officer and many form overseas countries. Newly trained Officers leave knowing they have excelled at one of the world's most revered military training academies.
