Restrictions: Yes. Restricted for use by members and past serving members of the Johannesburg EMS Pipe Band under written authority given by the pipe major and EMS Divisional Chief at that time.
This tartan may not be woven in any form without the written consent of the designer or his heirs.
The tartan must be woven in Scotland. Copyright rests with the designer.

Registration notes: The tartan was designed to incorporate the heraldic colours of the City of Johannesburg and the City’s Emergency Services emblems as they will be worn in the principle accoutrements of the newly formed Johannesburg Emergency Management Services Pipe Band, the first municipal authority pipe band established on the African continent. The black represents the continent and has been included in memory of all those men and women firefighters who have given their lives in service to their fellow citizens.
