Registration notes:	The tartan design is the winning student entry for the competition sponsored by the Department of Apparel, Events and Hospitality Management at Iowa State University (ISU) which was founded in 1858. The contest challenged students from the department to design a tartan representative of Iowa State University brand in a creative and marketable manner using the University’s official colours, Cardinal red and gold. Students, faculty, staff and alumni participated in an online voting system to choose the winning design. The tartan represents a sense of belonging and reminds people of their roots at Iowa State University.
