Registration notes: Tartan designed for the family and friends of Brian L. Forbes and family of crew of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald. The colours selected for the weave design represent the maize and blue of Michigan, the blue and white of the Saline Celtic Festival, and the dark blue and black of the depths of Lake Superior, honouring the Captain Ernest M. McSorley and the entire crew of 29 who lost their lives on the SS Edmund Fitzgerald on November 10, 1975.
