The gold in the tartan represents the Gold Bull which signifies generosity and bravery and is also a nod to Patrick’s veterinary career. Three red stripes have been incorporated to represent the three generations of the Barden family. The crosses of grey over blue and red represent St Andrew and St Patrick respectively. The overall colour palette was inspired by the blue water, old Lewisian gneiss and green lands of the Hebrides.
