Restrictions: Yes. Intended for the direct descendants and their spouses of Captain Henry Hyndman and Antonia Josefa de Gamboa.

Registration notes: This tartan is designed to honour Captain Henry Hyndman (1785-1849), son of Colonel Henry Hyndman HEIC Lunderston and Springside. Born in India, where his father spent his career, Captain Henry Hyndman and his wife Antonia Josefa de Gamboa had family who settled in what was the Portuguese territory of Macau and Hong Kong. The colours are taken from the flag of Scotland, the Hyndman Coat of Arms, the heather that is found in Scotland and the colours in the flags of Portugal and Macau.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
